Hi
I'm GeoDave or just plain David if you prefer (although that can get confusing with so many of us around). I am one of the two co-founders of the Give Geography Its Place Campaign. Although we now have a new Action Committee led by the dynamic Adam, I am keen to keep involved wherever possible. Hopefully the Action Committee will come up some fresh ideas to keep promoting Geography.

Hi all,
Hi Geographers.
Well....my name is Adam Lawson and I am member of the GGIP Action Committee. For a living I work as a Geography Teacher in Kent and operate two websites www.geographyatthemovies.co.uk and www.geogdocs.co.uk.
I am really excited by this forum to hear the views of geographers on what they want from the GGIP and how we can do it! A campaign such as this can thrive with the support of passionate people.
Help us to give geography its place! |

Geography is too important for society, economy and the environment to be ignored by the media and sidelined by too many politicians. It's time for stonger and longer lasting action. _________________ Give Geography its Place

Hello all. Sorry for the delayed response (I've been chasing my ar** for the last couple of weeks). Pleased to see the forum and hope it is successful in raising awareness. In my area there has been a noticeable increase in awareness of the campaign and I will do my very best to help it to grow further. |

| Hello! I'm Des and I'm a Geographer based in Worcestershire (yay!), although from Scotland originally. I'm very impressed at how active the new GGiP committee is; on behalf of all geographers (I hope), I'd like to say thank you! Although I routinely work most evenings and at least part of the weekend (not good), I'm happy to help if I can. |

I thought I had posted on this thread before!
I'm Victoria (aka LittleMiss on the SLN forum), a geography teacher in Derbyshire, and one of the newest members of the GGiP Committee.
Welcome Des, and thank you for your support - would be great to hear some of your ideas about how we can GGiP! _________________ www.geogtastic.blogspot.com
